Cinema City International Film Festival 2010 officially opened on Saturday, June 18, 2010. Upon completion of film programme, notable bands and DJs marked the opening of the Festival, at a place which hosts the best parties in the region – the Petrovaradin Fortress.

A cult electro-pop band Darkwood Dub marked the opening of the Cinema City 2011. Their current single “Something Quite Certain” (”Nesto sasvim izvesno”) featuring legendary diva Bisera Veletanlic, also available for download at exitmusic.tv, announced their new album. Music opening also introduced Henry Smithson, aka Riton, British DJ and musician, author of a truly remarkable dance sound. Riton is also a member of a very popular duo Carthe Blanche with DJ Mehdi.

Audio-visual duo The Good Guys, signature band for Cinema City 2010, performed as well. Bojan Čizmić and Andrija Kovač who make this dynamic duo are known for their lively performances, crossing their original notes with synchronized videography. If you had visited the opening night, you saw the band Medicine Man, creators of Cinema City 2011 soundtrack. They presented their new album Data Jazz. Medicine Man is a mix of genres – from jazz, breakbeat, and fusion to rock. It unites creative signatures of many authors, with Igor Lečić Leka at their front. Music lineup of Cinema City 2011 was completed with Kanda, Kodža and Nebojša, popular alternative rock band from Belgrade, whose music stands as a record of countless changes in our society, providing them with an ever-growing fan base. Kanda, Kodža and Nebojša presented their new album “Manifesto”/“Manifest”.

Let us not forget all the other music parties from previous festivals!

In 2010 musical opening was highly memorable. The famous actress and singer, Juliette Lewis, opened the film programme of the Festival, and later performed at the Petrovaradin Fortress with her new band “New Romantics”. The entire music programme of the Festival was under direct care of The Good Guys, audio-visual duo – producer Bojan Čizmić, producer, a.k.a. DJ Cell D, and Andrija Kovač, graphic designer, a.k.a. Xtrapurified. Their album “Atlas” marked the Cinema City 2010 soundtrack. In 2009, soundtrack was E-Play’s third studio album “Drago mi je što smo se upoznali“, which greatly contributed to the overall mood of the Festival.

Next to Juliette Lewis, The Good Guys, and E-Play, Cinema City was also enriched by performances from Rahmanee and Svi na pod, while the closing night saw great performances from DJ French Fries, Dejan Milićević and Marko Milosavljević, Flip and MKDSL, Roy Fokker and Dee Face, Felony Flats and Andrea 3000.

Opening and closing parties in 2009 and 2010 were visited by over 20,000 people.
